On 10.12.2015, the STFC announced the outcome of this year's funding application in experimental particle physics. The IPPP has been awarded a grant of about £350,000 for the HEPData project. Despite not being directly involved in experimental activities, e.g. at the LHC at CERN, the IPPP plays an important role for the experimental community by developing and maintaining the HEPData database. HEPData is the primary open-access repository for high-level data from particle scattering experiments, providing results from about five decades of high-energy data, taken from about 8000 experimental publications. This data is available free of charge to the community and to the public. During the current funding period, HEPData will be further developed and extended in its remit, with the closer integration with the INSPIRE project hosted by CERN as another high priority.
