We are pleased to announce the fifth Young Theorists' Forum taking place at Durham University on 19-20 December 2012. See the programme for further details.
The purpose of YTF is to bring together postgraduate students working in theoretical physics, providing the opportunity to present their work to a sympathetic audience. Our aim is to foster development of early career researchers and encourage collaboration between different universities.
We invite participants to speak on:
- Amplitudes
- BSM
- Gravity and Cosmology
- Lattice Field Theory
- Solitons, 2D and Conformal Field Theories
- Standard Model Phenomenology
- Strings and M-theory
This list is not exhaustive and speakers from other areas are also welcomed.
Postgraduates working in theoretical physics, from the UK or further abroad, are encouraged to apply. We anticipate being able to fund accommodation for the majority of attendees, with priority given to speakers if demand is exceptionally high.
Historically, students attending YTF are also expected to attend the Annual Theory Meeting which will this year occur before YTF, from 17th to 19th December. Those attending the ATM may be reimbursed for their travel. NB: places at the ATM are limited - ask around your department!
