The programme for the meeting can be found here - note that we intend to follow the format of previous meetings by starting after lunch on Monday (16th December 2002) and ending at lunchtime on Wednesday (18th December 2002). For those travelling from afar, accommodation will be available also for the night of Sunday 15th December. There will probably be a Theory Town Meeting on the afternoon of Wednesday 18th December.

Information about University College

Accommodation will be in University College (Durham Castle) for the duration of your stay in Durham. All meals will be taken in the Great Hall of the Castle: breakfast, buffet lunch and formal dinner. Please inform us of any special dietary requirements.

It is important that you advise us as soon as possible if you wish to arrive earlier or stay later than the days of the meeting or if you need to make any other arrangements.

The meeting commences with a buffet lunch at 1:00 p.m. on Monday 16th December in the Castle. You will be able to register from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. and then from 6:15 p.m. onwards. Rooms are to be vacated by 10:00 am on Wednesday 18th December and luggage can be left with reception.

The talks will be held in room ER 201 in the Elvet Riverside Building which is an eight minute walk from the Castle across the river. The location of Durham Castle (marked 24), Elvet Riverside (marked 26) and the railway station are shown on the University map.

Durham is easily reached by train from all parts of the country. Should you wish to travel by car and require parking, please advise us as soon as possible as this has to be arranged in advance with the college. Please travel as cheaply as possible, as we will normally refund travel up to a Saver railfare only.
