The Vice-Chancellor and Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research) of Durham University was invited by CERN to visit their facilities in connection with the celebration of the IPPP turning 25. During the comprehensive tour of the facilities and the ensuing round-table discussion, both the experimental and theory community at CERN praised the contributions made by the IPPP. We hope the visit will be the start of further collaborations between CERN and Durham University, and reinvigorate the joint-venture between STFC and Durham University in support of the IPPP.
