The IPPP was hosting the International Particle Physics Masterclass on Thursday 28th of March 2019 with close to 100 Y12/Y13 pupils from the regional schools. The students used real data from the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN to look for signatures of the W boson. At the end of the event the results were discussed in a video conference with scientists at CERN and other pupils from Czech and Germany.
