Collingwood College 18th-20th December
The Annual Theory Meetings ("Christmas Meetings") started in 1961 and have been held every year since (with the possible exception of two years), previously at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and more recently at Durham. Gordon Moorhouse and David Morgan have written a brief history of the early meetings.
This year, accommodation is in Collingwood College, and the lectures are in the Appleby Lecture Theatre on the University's Science Site.

Bed, breakfast, lunch and dinner will all be in Collingwood College.
It is important that you advise us as soon as possible if you wish to arrive earlier or stay later than the days of the meeting or if you need to make any other arrangements.
The meeting commences with a lunch between 12:30 and 13.30 p.m. on Thursday 18th December in Collingwood College. You will be able to check-in from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. and then from 6:15 p.m. onwards. Rooms are to be vacated after breakfast on Saturday 20th December and luggage can be left with reception.
The talks will be held in the Appleby Lecture Theatre on the University's Science Site, close to the Physics Department and a five minute walk from Collingwood College. The location of Collingwood College (marked 6), the Appleby Lecture Theatre (marked 40), the Physics Department/IPPP (marked 12) and the railway station are shown on the University map.

Durham is easily reached by train from all parts of the country. Should you wish to travel by car and require parking, please advise us as soon as possible as this has to be arranged in advance with the college. Please travel as cheaply as possible, as we will normally refund travel up to a Saver railfare only.
