The sixth Young Theorists' Forum (YTF) took place at Durham University on 18-19 December 2013. The purpose of the YTF is to bring together postgraduate students working in theoretical physics, providing the opportunity to present their work to a sympathetic audience. Our aim is to foster development of early career researchers and encourage collaboration between different universities.
We invited participants to speak on topics such as:
- Amplitudes
- BSM
- Gravity and Cosmology
- Holography
- Integrable and Conformal Field Theories
- Lattice Field Theory
- Solitons
- Standard Model Phenomenology
- Strings and M-theory
Postgraduates working in theoretical physics, from the UK or elsewhere, were encouraged to apply. We managed to accommodate all of our attendees but this is not guaranteed in future incarnations of the conference.
Students attending the YTF were also advised to attend the Annual Theory Meeting (ATM) which this year occurred before the YTF, from 16-18 December. Those attending the ATM may be reimbursed for their travel.
