A window on the dark world: From Cosmology to the LHC
An exciting programme of lectures and hands-on sessions will explore the links between cosmology & particle physics:
- An overview on hot topics in cosmology with an emphasis on large-scale structure formation and the cosmic microwave background.
- New and recent findings in particle astrophysics, and their interpretation from a particle physics point of view.
- Implications for the LHC, in particular the search for dark matter candidates.
- Review of Tools for Beyond the Standard Model searches at the LHC and the Tevatron, with the opportunity to try them out in practical sessions.
