Accommodation & meals: Participants will be accommodated in the Durham Premier Inn. Booking is made by the IPPP secretary and you will be contacted by her to confirm your booking. Rooms will be available from 2pm on Tuesday 27th October. Lunches and coffee breaks will be provided in the IPPP (Ogden Centre for Fundamental Physics).

IPPP
The Institute is located in the Ogden Centre for Fundamental Physics, adjacent to the main Physics Department building on the University Science Site (number 12 on the University map above). If you are arriving by train it is a 20 minute walk from the railway station to the Department, or you can take a taxi.
The Premier Inn is situated in the Durham City Centre (close to the Gala Theatre), about 20 minutes walk from the Physics Department and a 5 minutes walk from the railway station.
Directions from the railway station to the Premier Inn and the Physics Department are given on this map.
The Physics Department is the building below marker C.
There are footpaths (however with many steps) which allow you to cut some of the detours and loops shown on the map when walking: From the railway station take the first footpath to the left and follow signs for City Centre, Market Place; then go around the left side of the roundabout with traffic lights and keep on the left side of the main road over the bridge; take the first footpath to the left after the bridge (follow signs for Walkergate, Millennium Place) and go down the stairs to the Premier Inn.
From the Premier Inn to the Physics Department go up the stairs to the Millennium Place, from there to the Market Place and then follow the route on the map.
